PALM CITY, Fla. – Raoul Menard of Ange-Gardien, Quebec, birdied the first extra hole Thursday to earn his first victory on the Minor League Golf Tour. Menard outlasted Jake Scott of Strongsville, OH, after they tied with par-72's at Monarch Country Club.
In the playoff, both reached the green in regulation at the par-4 ninth hole. Menard sank a 35 footer for birdie, then watched as Scott missed from 15 feet to tie and extend the playoff.

Menard made two birdies on the inward nine and a pair of bogeys, one on each side in regulation. It was his 18th MLGT start since January, 2017. He received $600 from the $1,950 purse, raising his career earnings to $3,721.13.
Finishing second among 15 starters, Scott had three birdies and as many bogeys in his seventh MLGT appearance since February, 2014, his second this month. Still looking for his first win on the local mini-tour, Scott collected $460 from the main purse, $150 from an optional bonus pool and $22.50 in the skins game for a total of $632.50.
The MLGT schedule next week includes an 18-hole tournament Monday at Atlantic National Golf Club and a two-day event Wednesday and Thursday at Indian Spring CC. both in neighboring Palm Beach County.
