PALM CITY, Fla. - Piri Borja from Coral Springs, FL fired rounds of 69-68 to win 2021 Qualifying School Contest #1 at Banyan Creek.
Jesus Rivas Garcia was in the clubhouse at 138 after posting the low final round of 66. Donnie Trosper and Billy Walthouse were also -6 entering the final hole. Trosper would make bogey, Walthouse par and Borja hit what he called "the shot of his life" from the right trees through a small window to 2 feet. He would tap in for birdie and the win.

35 of the 60 players chose to enter the optional $200 Qualifying School Contest presented by Joey D Golf. Because more than 25 players entered the contest the remaining prize money would go to the 2nd place finishers Q-School entry fee. Jesus Rivas Garcia and Billy Walthouse were tied for 2nd and played off for the bonus. Walthouse struggled on the first playoff hole so Rivas Garcia's par would earn him $2k to put towards his Q-School entry fee.
