PALM CITY, Fla. - MJ Maguire from St. Petersburg, FL survived a playoff at The Fox Club to win for the 3rd time in his last 6 starts. He and Eric Beringer tied at 4-under par 138 in some difficult windy conditions. Beringer fell 3 back after he bogied the 14th hole but proceeded to birdie 15, 16 and 18 to force a playoff.
On the first playoff hole both players found trouble off the tee and would miss the green. Beringer missed his 10 foot par attempt leaving Maguire with a 5 foot par putt and the win.
Maguire earned $2,000 from the $12,155 purse plus $431 from the optional bonus pool. Beringer won $2,025 which included $1,500 from the purse, $431 from the bonus pool and a $104 skin.
Chris Ingham won $183 in the 2nd Day Shootout with a score of 72. It was open to players that were outside the money (77 and higher) after day 1.
