Sunny Kim of Queens, NY wins 2022 Monday Qualifier Contest #5 presented by Abacoa Golf Club with a 3-event cumulative score of 209 (67-71-71). The contest consisted of the three 1-day events played this week at Madison Green, Eagle Trace, and Fountains CC.
Kim entered the final event with a 5 shot lead over Chris Navarro and 6 clear of Brant Peaper. After an early double bogey by Kim and a few birdies by Peaper the lead would be cut to two but would never get any closer. Kim would make a few birides coming in and his margin of victory would be four.
Kim wins a $1,000 bonus for his fine play this week to go compete in a Monday Qualifier on the PGA Tour or Korn Ferry Tour.
