LAKE WORTH, Fla. - Ethan Cairns from Davie, FL made seven on the 12th hole but he had such a big lead it didn't make any difference. He started out with birdies on 2,3,4,6,7,9 and 10 to be 7-under par through 10 holes and nearing 59 watch. An unfortunate double bogey on the par-5 12th would ensue but he still won by two shots earning $850 from the $4,415 purse.
This was Cairns' first win on the MLGT after coming close numerous times.
Cory Sciupider was tied for the lead on 18 tee but a doble bogey 6 would drop him down to a tied for 2nd with Steve LeBrun and Josh Hart.
Today's event was the first of three 1-day events this week that make up 2022 Monday Qualifying School Contest #4 presented by Abacoa Golf Club. The professional with the lowest 3-day cumulative score will earn a $1k bonus to compete in a Monday Qualifier on the PGA Tour or Korn Ferry Tour.
