Michael Sweeney of Enfield, CT wins 2023 Monday Qualifier Contest #5 presented by Abacoa Golf Club with a 3-event cumulative score of 200 (67-68-65). The contest consisted of the three 1-day events played this week at Fountains CC, Abacoa GC and Jacaranda GC.
Sweeney started the final day 3 shots behind 36 hole leader Brett Stegmaier. Sweeney made 2 eagles midway through the final day which vaulted him one in front of Stegmaier which is where he would finish.
Sweeney wins a $1,000 bonus for his fine play this week to go compete in a Monday Qualifier on the PGA Tour or Korn Ferry Tour.
