Donnie Trosper of Canton, MI wins 2023 Monday Qualifier Contest #7 presented by Abacoa Golf Club with a 3-event cumulative score of 199 (68-66-65). The contest consisted of the three 1-day events played this week at Abacoa GC, Fountains CC and Indian Spring CC.
Trosper started the final round tied for the lead with Raoul Menard. Late in the final round Tropser found himself 2 shots ahead with 2 to play. On #17 Trosper made bogey while Ryan Cole made birdie so they headed to the last tied for the lead. On the par-5 18th both men had to layup and both hit good 3rd shots to 3 and 6 feet. Cole was first to putt from 6 feet and hit birdie bid slid by on the low side. Trosper knocked in his 3 footer for birdie and the win.
Trosper wins a $1,000 bonus for his fine play this week to go compete in a Monday Qualifier on the PGA Tour or Korn Ferry Tour.
