Michael Sweeney wins by one at Abacoa with a 5-under par 66

JUPITER, Fla. - Michael Sweeney from Enfield, CT earned his 5th win on the MLGT Tuesday with a 5-under par 66 at Abacoa Golf Club. After a bogey free 30 on the front nine he birdied #10 and gave back shots at 13 and 16 but bounced back with a winning birdie on #17.

Sweeney earned $1,350 from the $10,780 purse plus $236 from the bonus pool and a $170 skin for a total of $1,756.

Matt Hill and Carr Vernon tied for 2nd at 67. Hill came to the last hole tied for the lead but an untimely short par putt miss would prove to be costly. They earned $775 each.

Raoul Menard made a hole in one with a 5 iron on the 179 yard par-3 8th hole.

Next on the schedule is the first Qualifying School contest of 2023 at Okeeheelee Golf Course. The winner will earn a $5k bonus to put towards the Q-School entry of their choice.
