WELLINGTON, Fla. - Kevin Aylwin from New Smyrna Beach, FL fired a final round 66 to come from behind and win for the first time on the MLGT. After an opening round 71 Aylwin started the final round 2 behind Case Cochran. He did not make a bogey on day two and had birdies at 2,4,12,13,14 and 16 to get to 7-under par and win by 3 shots at Wellington National Golf Club. He earned $1,900 from the $9,815 purse plus $464 in the bonus pool for a total of $2,364.
Cole Castro was alone in 2nd at 140 followed by Ethan Marcus in 3rd at 141.
In a second day shootout Tuesday among players who shot 75 or higher Wednesday, Dylan Meyer won $214 with a final round score of 69.
Next on the schedule is Major III on the Champ course at PGA National Mon-Tues August 28-29 featuring a first place prize of $10,000.
