PLANTATION, Fla. - Carson Klawonn from West Palm Beach, FL won for the 6th time on the MLGT on the West course at Jacaranda Golf Club. He made 6 birdies and no bogies en route to 66. He earned $900 from the $3,936 purse plus $150 from the optional bonus pool for a total of $1,050.
Playing in the group ahead of Klawonn, Timmy Wideman fired 67 for solo 2nd. He had a look for birdie on the last from about 15 feet but left it just short. Wideman earned $650 and has won twice on the MLGT. Daniel Obremski and Aaron Wilson tied for 3rd at 69.
Today's event was the first of three this week that make up 2023 Monday Qualifier Contest #4 presented by Abacoa Golf Club. The player with the lowest cumulative score for the three events wins a $1k bonus to go compete in a Monday Qualifier on the PGA Tour or Korn Ferry Tour.
