Timmy Wideman of Boca Raton, FL wins 2024 Monday Qualifier Contest #4 presented by Abacoa Golf Club with a 3-event cumulative score of 208 (69-69-70). The contest consisted of the three 1-day events played this week at Abacoa GC, Eagle Trace GC and Fountains CC West.
Wideman entered the final round one shot behind 36 hole leader Bennett Cotten. Jay Card shot a final round 66 to post -6. Wideman birdied the difficult par-4 18th to force a playoff. On the first playoff hole (par-5) both Card and Wideman were near the green in two. Card chipped it to 15 feet while Wideman putted from the fringe to 2 feet. After Card missed Wideman tapped in his birdie putt for the win.
Wideman wins a $1,000 bonus for his fine play this week to go compete in a Monday Qualifier on the PGA Tour or Korn Ferry Tour.
