John Baptiste Hakizimana of Rwanda wins 2024 Monday Qualifier Contest #5 presented by Abacoa Golf Club with a 3-event cumulative score of 207 (71-68-68). The contest consisted of the three 1-day events played this week at The Florida Club, Abacoa GC and The Champions Club.
Hakizimana entered the final round 2 shots behind leader Michael Sweeney. Sweeney had a tough final day shooting 77 while Hakizimana played great with 68. He built up a big lead after his front nine of 31 and never looked back, winning by 5 shots.
Hakizimana wins a $1,000 bonus for his fine play this week to go compete in a Monday Qualifier on the PGA Tour or Korn Ferry Tour.
