WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Garrett Barber from Stuart, FL, Danny Daniels from London, England and Ryan Linton from Lake Forest, IL were deadlocked at 8-under par when darkness prevented a playoff. The three men were declared co-champions and each earned $2,135 from the $20,127 purse. Daniels and Linton birdied the final hole to post -8 while Barber was in the final group and controlled his destiny. Barber made triple bogey on the 13th but bounced back with birdies on 15 and 17 to tie for the lead. He would have a 8 foot birdie putt on the last for the win but missed just low.
David Perkins and Mike Miller tied for 4th one shot behind and earned $1,225 each.
28 of the 61 players chose to enter the Qualifying School Contest where the winner will receive a $5k bonus to put towards the Q-School entry fee of their choice. Garrett Barber, Danny Daniels and Ryan Linton tied for the win and each earned $1,867 to put towards their Q-School entry fee.
In a second day shootout Thursday among players who shot 71 or higher Wednesday, Ryan Celano and Chris Nido won $205 each with a final round score of 68.
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Grant Haefner and Garrett Barber match opening rounds of 65 to share the lead entering the final round on the Estate course at PGA National. Haefner did not make a bogey in his opening rounds that saw 6 birdies. Barber birdied the last 5 holes to close his opening round.
