PALM CITY, Fla. - Talented amateur Andrew Riley from Jacksonville, FL made nine birdies en route to 65 and his first win on the MLGT. Per USGA rules the maximum Riley can accept is $1,000 so the extra $50 from the $1,050 first place check was distrubuted throughout the remainder of the purse.
Justin Griffith, Brett Stegmaier, Tyler Collet and Luke Gifford tied for 2nd one behind Riley.
Today's event was the first of three this week that make up 2024 Monday Qualifier Contest #7 presented by Abacoa Golf Club. The player with the lowest cumulative score for the three events wins a $1k bonus to go compete in a Monday Qualifier on the PGA Tour or Korn Ferry Tour.
