PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - Mickey DeMorat from Merritt Island, FL fired 133 (67-66) to win 2025 Qualifying School Contest #4 on the Champ course at PGA National.
DeMorat started the final round two shots behind Matt Holuta. DeMorat was still two back with 9 to play but then birdied 10,12,13 and 14 to catch Holuta. They remained tied with two to play when DeMorat found himself with a buried lie in the greenside bunker on 17. He hit an incredible shot to 15 feet and made the putt to remain tied. On the par-5 18th Holuta was forced to layup after a tee shot in the right trees. DeMorat went for the green in two setting up a long eagle putt. DeMorat two putted for birdie. After a good wedge shot to 6 feet Holuta's birdie putt to force a playoff lipped out on the high side.
