BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - David Perkins from East Peoria, IL eagled the first playoff hole to win for the 3rd time on the MLGT. In regulation Perkins and Conor McGrath tied at 12-under par 132. Perkins started the day four back but a final round 63 put him in the clubhouse lead while he would wait to see if it was good enough. McGrath was leading with 9 holes to play but a double bogey at the par-5 10th dropped him out of the lead. He would go on to birdie 11,12,13 and 16 to tie Perkins at 12-under par. On the first playoff hole McGrath had 40 feet for eagle which he left just 10 inches short. Perkins then rolled in his eagle putt from 12 feet for the win. Perkins earned $3,161 for the win, McGrath $2,436 for 2nd. McGrath is still looking for his first win on the MLGT.

In a second day shootout Thursday among players who shot 71 or higher Wednesday, Michael McGowan won $232 with a final round score of 66.
BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - Frank Kennedy made 8 birdies en route to 65 and the first round lead on the East course at Indian Spring CC.
Conor McGrath and Kevin Johnson are just one back entering the final round. 27 of the 51 players broke par on day one on an ideal day for scoring.
