STUART, Fla. - Michael Sweeney dominates on home turf, winning by six at The Florida Club. Sweeney works part time at The Florida Club while he's chasing his dream of playing on the PGA Tour. He started the final round one behind Max Theodorakis. After 27 holes he was tied with Olin Browne Jr. but four straight birdies on 11,12,13 and 14 and a couple bogies by Olin opened up a five shot lead. Sweeney would add one more birdie on the 16th for good measure. Sweeney earned $2,700 from the $18,320 purse plus $450 from the bonus pool and a $146.67 skin for a total of $3,296.67.
Peter Mathison and Patrick Sheehan tied for 2nd at 137 and earned $1,650 each. First round leader Max Theodorakis added 73 to his opening round 65 and tied for 4th.
In a second day shootout Tuesday among players who shot 73 or higher Monday, Jared Nelson won $214 with a final round score of 68.

Before that he had birdies at 2,6,7,8,11,13 and 15. Michael Sweeney is just one back on his home course entering the final round after 66.
