LAKE WORTH, Fla. – Nick Flynn of London, England, birdied four of his last eight holes Monday to earn his first victory on the Fuzion-Minor League Golf Tour with a three under par 68 on the North course at Fountains Country Club. After a birdie and two bogeys on the front, Flynn birdied Nos. 11, 12, 15 and 17. He earned $460 from the $1,555 purse. Flynn made his first MLGT start Oct. 20 at President Country Club in West Palm Beach, losing in a playoff at five under par 66.
The MLGT’s 113th tournament of the year drew nine entries. The first stage of qualifying for the 2012 PGA Tour starts Wednesday at the PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie.
The MLGT has two more 18-hole events this week: Tuesday, Abacoa GC, Jupiter, and Thursday, Links at Madison Green, Royal Palm Beach.
There was $40 in the skins pot with 5 skins out worth $8 each.
