JUPITER, Fla. – Derrick Bohannon of Palm City birdied the first two holes Monday at Jupiter Country Club enroute to a six under par 66 and his 22nd victory on the Golfslinger.com Tour.
Bohannon, 28, added birdies at Nos. 4, 5, 9, 10, 11 and 15. He bogeyed the 12th and 17th holes. He received $1,000 from the $3,337 purse, raising his career earnings to $92,100 since he joined the Golfslinger Tour in May, 2006.
Will Coleman who plays out of Jupiter Country Club, shot a 5-under par 67 to claim solo 2nd place, followed by Scott Marino in third with 68 and Gregory Huxman in fouth with 69.
There were 23 entries for the Golfslinger’s 97th tournament of the year. Next on the schedule: Tuesday, Bear Lakes CC-Links, and Thursday, Jacaranda GC-West.
There was $90 in the skins pot with 4 skins out worth $22.50 each.
