John Houchin fires 134 (65-69) to go wire to wire at Banyan Creek Golf Club
Houchin also won Qualifying School Contest #5 and the $5k bonus to use for Q-School

PALM CITY, Fla. - John Houchin from Merritt Island, FL never looked back after taking the first round lead to win by three at Banyan Creek Golf Club. Houchin took a one shot lead into the final round and never lost it. He stretched it to four and was there for most of the back nine until a bogey at the last which didn't change anything. He earned $2,700 for his 3rd win on the MLGT.

Todd Duncan, Chase Haygood, Jake Springer and Chris Nido tied for 2nd at 137.

29 of the 60 players chose to enter Qualifying School Contest #5 presented by Britto and Herman Injury Lawyers. John Houchin fired 134 (65-69) to earn the $5k bonus to use for his Q-School entry fee.

Q-School Contest #5

In a second day shootout Tuesday among players who shot 73 or higher Monday, Matthew Soucinek and Michael Mays won $190 each with a final round score of 69.

PALM CITY, Fla. - John Houchin from Merritt Island, FL overcame his lone bogey on the 12th with birdies at 1,2,5,7,9,10,11 and 14 for a 7-under par 65 and will take a one shot lead over Todd Duncan into Tuesday's final round.
