ATLANTIS, Fla. - Charles Chon from Aurora, CO and Brandon Valvano from Franklin Lakes, NJ teamed up for an impressive 15-under par 57 at Atlantis Country Club to win the Holiday Team Championship presented by Arise. They earned $2,200 from the $10,560 purse for the win. Their round was highlighted by a hole out eagle on the par-4 11th by Valvano. Chon birdied the last two holes to seal the win.
The front nine was a scramble, the back nine better ball, or four-ball stroke play. Chon/Valvano made eagle on par-4 11th and added birdies on 1,2,3,5,6,7,9,10,13,14,15,17 and 18. They did not make a bogey.
22 of the 32 teams entered the optional $40 skins game building a pot of $880. The team of Andrew Riley and Robbie Higgins eagled the par-5 12th to win the entire skins pot. Click on any of the $ symbols under the skins/total column to view the skins results.
There were two closest to the pin contests on #8 and #10, along with a long drive contest on #11.
