LAKE WORTH, Fla. - Raoul Menard from Ange-Gardien, Quebec needed extra holes to earn his 12th win on the MLGT. In regulation John Cammarano made four birdies in the last seven holes to post 4-under par 67 on a very windy day at Fountains CC. Menard was 4-under through 13 but bogied 14 and 15. He would birdie 17 to get within one and made a long birdie putt on 18 to force a playoff. On the first playoff hole Menard hit his 2nd shot on the par-4 to just under 7 feet. Cammarano missed the green and chipped it to 7 feet. After his par putt slid by Menard 2 putted for the win.
Menard earned $1,400 from the $11,046 purse plus $233 from the bonus pool for a total of $1,633. Cammarano earned $900 for the 2nd place finish. He now has a T4 and 2nd in his last 3 starts and will be looking for that first win soon.
Tyler Collet was 3rd alone after a 3-under par 68. He had a putt for birdie from 12 feet on 18 to join the playoff that barely missed on the high side.
Next on the schedule is Qualifying School Contest #2 presented by Britto & Herman Injury Lawyers Wednesday and Thursday at Banyan Creek Golf Club in Palm City. The low player from the optional $200 contest will earn a $5k bonus to use for the Q-School of their choice.
