JUPITER, Fla. - Stephan Jaeger from Munich, Germany, overcame a bogey on the par 3 8th hole with 9 birdies to card a 64 and back to back wins on the Minor League Golf Tour. Jaeger won the 36 hole event at PGA National's Estates course on Monday and Tuesday by one shot with a 5-under par total of 137. Jaeger, 26, will compete Thursday on Fountains Country Club's South course and try to win three in a row.
Jacob Eggers from Vilas, NC, birdied two of his last three holes to break out of a tie for 2nd and claim it on his own. He took home $825 from the $8,610 purse. Five players tied for 3rd at 68 including Brant Peaper, Brandon Smith, Dan McCarthy, Bo Hoag, and Jamie Sindelar.
A big thank you goes out to the players at the event today. With your awareness and help with pace of play, every group but one finished under their allotted time of 3 hours and 57 minutes. The one that didn't finished in exactly 4 hours. Pace of play is critical to getting and retaining venues to host Minor League Golf Tour events and your awareness and cooperation is greatly appreciated.
