BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. – Steve LeBrun of West Palm Beach, FL, eagled the first playoff hole Tuesday at Indian Spring Country Club to win for 55th time on the Minor League Golf Tour.
After Ryan Gildersleeve of Clearwater, FL and Team FIP member Justin Hicks of Grosse Ile, MI, missed eagle putts of 25 and 23 feet, respectively, on the par-5 first hole, LeBrun sank a 15 footer for the win.
The victory moved LeBrun to within three of the career leader, Jimmy Lytle of Ocean Ridge, who has 58 MLGT titles. Lytle missed the money list by one stroke Tuesday. Overall, Hicks has 26 MLGT wins, Gildersleeve two.
In regulation, LeBrun and Hicks had a pair of 64's on the par 71 West course. Gildersleeve was the first round leader with 63, adding 65 for 128. In 36 holes, LeBrun made 15 birdies and one bogey, Gildersleeve 16 and 2, Hicks 17 and 3. All three birdied the par-5 18th hole twice.
LeBrun received $1,450, Hicks and Gildersleeve $1,100 apiece from the $7,500 purse. LeBrun and Hicks tied for 1st place in the optional bonus pool earning an additional $500 apiece.
The third 2017 WEB.com Q-School contest heads to PGA National Estates Course for the final 2 days. The low 4-day score for the week will have their 2017 Web.com Q-School paid for by the Minor League Golf Tour. At the halway point three men are tied at 14-under par including Steve LeBrun, Justin Hicks and Ryan Gildersleeve. Gildersleeve won Q-School Contest #1 in 2016, Hicks won Q-School Contest #5 in 2016 and LeBrun won a Q-School Contest in 2010 and 2011 on the MLGT.

Justin Hicks from Grosse Ile, MI and Steve LeBrun from West Palm Beach, FL are one shot back of Gildersleeve in both the 2-day event at Indian Spring CC and the 4-day long Web.com Q-School Contest.
21 out of the 26 players chose to enter the optional $200 Web.com Q-school contest. Out of those 21 players the low 4 day total score will win a full paid entry into 2017 Web.com Q-school.
