PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – After he scored back-to-back 67's on the Champion course at PGA National, Michael Buttacavoli of Miami Beach, FL, was awarded two victories Tuesday on the Minor League Golf Tour.

Buttacavoli won the MLGT’s Major III, earning $7,000 from the $30,500 purse. And in a separate but simultaneous competition, he captured the tour’s sixth Q-School Contest earning a full paid entry into Web.com Q-School this fall.

Buttacavoli did not make a bogey Monday with birdies at Nos. 12, 13 and 18. On Tuesday, he had his first bogey at the second hole and another at 16, both par-4's. He birdied 1, 3,12, 13 and 14. Three weeks ago, Buttacavoli won on the PGA Tour Latinoamerica. He sits 10th on their money list right now which has him starting Q-School at second stage in November.

The course was set up similar to the PGA Tour’s Honda Classic in February with the sixth and tenth holes as par-4's, not par-5's for most play the rest of the year.

Steve LeBrun of West Palm Beach, FL shot 70-66—136, second among 57 starters. He made four birdies and as many bogeys Monday, six and two on Tuesday. He received $3,000 from the purse and $246.67 in skins.

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - Luke Graboyes from Watchung, NJ and Palm Beach Gardens, FL, made eight birdies to go along with three bogies to open Major III with a 5-under par 65 on the famed Champ course at PGA National. The tough par 70 layout that hosts the Honda Classic on the PGA Tour only yielded 10 under par rounds on Monday.

Michael Buttacavoli from Miami Beach, FL enters the final round just two shots behind Graboyes after an opening round of 67. Eric Beringer is in 3rd place after an opening round 68.

33 of the 57 players chose to enter the optional $200 Web.com Q-School Contest. Out of those 33 players, the low 4 day total score will win a full paid entry into 2017 Web.com Q-school. Depending on what stage the winner starts at, the reaminder of the $6,600 prize pool will go to the second place finisher in the Q-School Contest to be put towards his Q-School entry.

Micahel Buttacavoli leads the Q-School contest entering the final round. He has a one shot lead (67) over Eric Beringer (68). Seven players sit at 69 just two shots off the Q-School Contest lead.
