JUPITER, Fla. – Daniel Obremski of Pittsburgh birdied his first five holes Thursday so his only bogey of the day on the final hole didn’t keep him from winning for the sixth time on the Minor League Golf Tour. Obremski edged another Pennsylvanian, Cole Willcox of Malvern, 64-65, at Jupiter Country Club, with four of the 61 starters tied for third at 67.
After his fast start, Obremski added birdies at Nos. 9, 10, 11 and 13 before closing with bogey at the par-4 18th. He received $1,000 from the $7,930 purse, another $225 from an optional bonus pool.
Willcox eagled the par-5 ninth and 16th holes, adding four birdies and a bogey. Still looking for his first MLGT victory, Willcox received $700, his largest check since joining the MLGT in December, 2014.
Along with the first place check, Daniel Obremski won a customized One Putt training aid. A big thank you to The One Putt for sponsoring today's event.
