JUPITER, Fla. – Myles Creighton of Digby, Nova Scotia, birdied the third extra hole Tuesday at Abacoa Golf Club for his second victory on the Minor League Golf Tour. After Creighton and Jon Curran of Jupiter, FL tied at four under par 67, they halved the first two playoff holes with par-4's. At the third hole, also a par-4, Creighton sank a 15 footer for the win moments after Curran had missed his bid for birdie from 30 feet. In regulation, Creighton made five birdies and a bogey, Curran four birdies.

Creighton’s only other MLGT title was on Oct. 10, 2018 at Fountains Country Club, Lake Worth, in just his third start on the Stuart-based mini-tour, also in a playoff. He earned $1,000 here, Curran $650, from the $4,625 purse. Each received an additional $206 from an optional bonus pool.
The MLGT’s fifth tournament of its 17th season drew 33 starters.
The first qualifying school contest of 2020 starts in just 7 days. It will be a 2-day event staged on the Estate course at PGA National Tues-Wed January 21-22. The entry fee for the regular event is $430 and 40% of the field earns a check. There is an optional $200 Qualifying School Contest presented by Joey D Golf where the winner earns a $5,000 (guaranteed) bonus to pay for the Q-School of their choice.
