PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – Eric Cole of Delray Beach and Orlando, FL, the leading money winner on the Minor League Golf Tour in 2019, cashed his first check of 2020 with his first victory of the year Tuesday on the Estate course at PGA National. Cole earned 50 Stableford points with a medal score of six under par 65, earning $950 from the $4,605 purse, an additional $232 from an optional bonus pool and a skin worth $133.34 for a total of $1,315.34. His card showed an eagle at the par-5 ninth hole, six birdies and two bogeys. In 2019, Cole won 14 tournaments and led the MLGT money list with $37,205. This year, he also has conditional status on the Korn Ferry Tour.

Michael McGowan of Southern Pines, NC, was second among 35 players with 49 points, collecting $817. He has won four times since joining the MLGT in April, 2015.
