LAKE WORTH BEACH, Fla. – Gavin Hall of Pittsford, NY, birdied seven of his last eight holes Friday in winning for the eighth time on the Minor League Golf Tour. After a birdie at the par-4 eighth hole on the South course at Fountains Country Club, Hall turned in 35, had par-4 at the 10th and birdied the next five holes, made another par-4 at No. 16, then birdied the last two holes for 64, winning by two strokes. He collected $1,000 from the $5,520 purse, raising his career earnings to $27,868 since joining the MLGT in September, 2017.
Harrison Rhoades of Raleigh, NC, was second among 40 starters with 66 on seven birdies and a bogey at the 18th hole. It was his eighth start and best finish since the beginning of the year when he came aboard the MLGT. He received $650.
Aaron Purviance, a teaching professional from Utah, made a hole in one on the 206 yard par-3 17th hole. His 6 iron found the bottom of the hole for his 3rd hole in one in his career.
Today's event was a tune up event for the Honda Classic Pre Qualifier here next Wednesday February 19th.
