BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. – Sunny Kim of Queens, NY, enhanced his status as the career leading money winner on the Minor League Golf Tour with his 68th victory Monday. Kim made three birdies on each nine of the East course at Indian Spring Country Club for a six under par 66, winning by one stroke.
Kim earned $700 from the $3,130 purse and an additional $70 in the skins game, raising his all-time total to $279,369 since he joined the MLGT in October, 2006. His birdies Monday were at Nos. 1, 7, 8, 10, 11 and 17.
Second among 26 starters was Luke Graboyes of Watchung, NJ. Graboyes also made six birdies but had a bogey at the par-3 second hole. He collected $714, including $214 from an optional bonus pool. Graboyes won four times earlier this month and has a career total of seven victories.
The MLGT plays its 47th tournament of the year, a two-day event, Wednesday and Thursday on the Estate course at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens.
