PLANTATION, Fla. – Eric Dietrich of Cheshire, CT, made his first start on the Minor League Golf Tour on Sept. 28, 2017 with a four under par 68 on the West course at Jacaranda Golf Club to tie for fourth. He returned Wednesday, shot another 68 and earned his seventh MLGT victory.
Dietrich made seven birdies and three bogeys to win by astroke, earning $900 from the $4,260 purse plus $177 from an optional bonus pool and $90 in the skins game for a total of $1,167. This raised his career earnings to $55,014 since his MLGT debut three and a half years ago.
Stuart amateur NaShawn Tyson, making his first start in the regular divison with the professionals, was second with 69 on four birdies and a bogey. Previously, he had 14 training division appearances.
Qualifying School Contest #1 presented by Joey D Golf starts in just 7 days. It will be contested at Banyan Creek at Martin Downs W-Th 3/17-18. The contest is optional for players playing in the 2-day event. It is an extra $200 and the winner is guaranteed to win $5k for their 2021 Q-School entry.
