Ryan Linton birdies 4 of the last 5 to win by one at Eagle Trace

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Ryan Linton of Lake Forest, Ill., won two of the three tournaments conducted this week by the Minor League Golf Tour, then lost a playoff for a $1k bonus toward an entry fee into a Monday qualifier for a PGA or Korn Ferry tour event this year.

Linton shot a pair of 65's to win Tuesday at Melreese Country Club in Miami and Thursday at Eagle Trace Golf Club here. Though he did not finish in the money Wednesday at the Links at Madison Green in Royal Palm Beach, Linton still earned a total of $2,485 this week.

This was matched by Matt Harris of Lexington, Ky., who was third at Melreese, tied for third at Madison Green and T-6 at Eagle Trace.

Harris won Monday Qualifier Contest #2 presented by Abacoa Golf Club with a 3-day total of 204 (67-68-69). He earns a $1k bonus to compete in a Monday Qualifier on the PGA Tour or Korn Ferry Tour. Nice playing Matt!
