Sam Goldenring earns his first professional win in a playoff over Albin Choi

Choi birdied 18 to force a playoff at 5-under par 66

LAKE WORTH, Fla. - Sam Goldenring from Florham Park, NJ earned his first win as a professional today in a playoff with Albin Choi after both men tied at 5-under par 66 on the West course at Fountains Country Club.

Choi's tee shot on the first extra hole went out of bounds left leaving Goldenring 3 putts from 15 feet for the win. He would only need two and earned $1,100 from the $6,336 purse plus $213 from the optional bonus pool for a total of $1,313. Choi earned $913 for the 2nd place finish.

Last weeks Monday Q Contest winner Jake Scott was solo 3rd here one off the leaders at 67.

The registration deadline for the Visit Sebring Classic is approaching. Don't miss your chance to play in a 3-day event with $5k ADDED money. First place will be a minimum of $6k and if at least 60 players play first place will be $10k.
