LAKE WORTH, Fla. - Thomas Longbella from Chippewa Falls, WI birided the difficult par-4 18th hole on the West course at Fountains Country to break the course record of 62. He started out birdying the first 5 holes then added birdies at 8, 10, 11, 13 and 18 for an impressive 10 under par 61.

Longbella earned $1,025 from the $5,607 purse plus $221 from the bonus pool for a total of $1,246 for his first win on the MLGT.

Talented amateur Matthew Yamin finished 2nd alone at 65 followed by Marcus Herndon in 3rd at 66.

2022 Major II starts tomorrow at Abacoa Golf Club. 90 players are set to tee it up all with their eye on the $10k winners check.
