BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - Brett Stegmaier from Hamden, CT bogied the 13th hole to fall two shots off the lead but birdies at 14, 16 and 17 found him one shot ahead on the 18th tee. His tee shot found the right trees and he did well to get it in the greenside bunker in two on the par 4. After a good long bunker shot to 10 feet he rolled in the par putt dead center to earn his 22nd win on the MLGT. Brett is keeping his game in fine form as he fights his way to get back to the PGA Tour. He earned $2,500 from the $16,045 purse plus $433 from the bonus pool for a total of $2,933.
Kenny Hess finished in 2nd alone after rounds of 67-68. He had an 18 foot birdie putt on the final hole to tie the lead which slid just by on the right edge.
In a second day shootout Thursday among players who shot 71 or higher Wednesday, Vincent Palazzolo won $228 with a final round score of 68.
