LAKE WORTH, Fla. - The third time was a charm for Angus Flanagan in MLGT playoffs as he defeated Tyler Strafaci with a birdie on the 4th extra hole to win the 2024 Sunshine State Classic. Flanagan fell short in his two previous playoff appearances but made the most of this one as he took home the $10k winners check.
In regulation Flanagan came to the last hole one behind Strafaci. His 2nd shot never left the pin landing a couple feet short of the hole and spinning back to 5 feet. He converted the birdie putt to force extra holes. Both men had good looks at birdie on the first three playoff holes but narrowly missed. On the 4th Strafaci burned the edge from 25 feet leaving the door open for Angus. He would make his 15 foot birdie putt to earn his 1st win on the MLGT.
