CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - Andrew Riley (a) from Palm Coast, FL made 10 birdies at Eagle Trace Golf Club en route to a 9-under par 63 on the challenging layout that hosted a PGA Tour event for more than a decade back in the late 80's and 90's. His lone bogey came at the par-4 9th. He made birdies at 2,5,6,8,10,11,13,14,15 and 17 earning the maximum allowed per USGA rules of $1,000. The extra $150 from the $1,150 first place check was distrubuted throughout the remainder of the purse.
KFT member Ryan Davis was 2nd alone at 65 followed by Chris Francoeur in 3rd at 66.
Today's event was the final of three this week that make up 2024 Monday Qualifier Contest #8 presented by Abacoa Golf Club. The player with the lowest cumulative score for the three events wins a $1k bonus to go compete in a Monday Qualifier on the PGA Tour or Korn Ferry Tour. Andrew Riley's 3-day cumulative total of 198 (66-69-63) earned him a $1k bonus to go compete in a Monday Qualifier on the PGA Tour or Korn Ferry Tour.
