STUART, Fla. - 17 year old amateur Giuseppe Puebla overcame an early bogey with birdies on 5,8,13,16 and 17 for a 5-under par 67 at The Florida Club and a one shot win over four players.
Per USGA rules the maximum Puebla is allowed to accept is $1,000. First place was $1,175 and Puebla won $183 in the bonus pool so the remaining $358 was distributed throughout the rest of the players that earned a check per MLGT policy.
Giuseppe recently commited to play golf for coach JC Deacon at the University of Florida. UF is getting a good one!
Austin Schultz, Peter Knade, August Meekhof and Jake Brown tied for 2nd one shot behind Puebla and earned $670 each.
This event was open to players that missed the cut or did not play in the Martin County Open.
