
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - John Houchin from Merritt Island, FL needed extra holes to earn his first win on the MLGT. After John and Carson Klawonn tied at 134 in regulation on the Champ course at PGA National they halved the first two playoff holes with par. On the 3rd Houchin was safely on the par-4 green in regulation with 20 feet for birdie. Klawonn's tee shot found a divot in the fairway and his 2nd shot came up short in the bunker with a bad lie on the downslope. Klawonn would go on to make bogey and Houchin two putted for the win. Houchin earned $3,200 for the win, Klawonn $2,675 for 2nd.
34 of the 74 players chose to enter Qualifying School Contest #3 presented by Britto & Herman Injury Lawyers. Carson Klawonn fired 134 (65-69) to earn the $5k bonus to use towards his Q-School entry fee this fall. Michael Sweeney was 2nd in the contest and earned $1,800 towards his Q-School entry fee.

In a second day shootout Wednesday among players who shot 73 or higher Tuesday, Dylan MacQueen won $228 with a final round score of 67.
