PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - James Piot from Canton, MI needed extra holes to earn his 2nd victory on the MLGT in just his 3rd start. Piot and Carson Klawonn tied in regulation at 7-under par 137 on a breezy two days on the Palmer course at PGA National. The first playoff hole was halved with pars. On the second Piot made a 8 foot putt for par and then Klawonn's par put from 3 feet to extend did a horseshoe lipout.
Piot earned $2,250 from the $12,000 purse plus $428 from the bonus pool and $130.29 in skins for a total of $2,808.29. Klawonn earned $1,600.
In a second day shootout Tuesday among players who shot 76 or higher Monday, Aaron Wilson won $214 with a final round score of 72.
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - James Piot from Canton, MI will take a one shot lead into tomorrow's final round on the Palmer course at PGA National after a 4-under par 68. He overcame bogies on 3 and 6 with birdies on 1,4,8,11,14 and 17.
Donald Stimble birdied the final two holes for a 3-under par 69 and is just one back. Luke Campbell also birdied the final two holes and will enter the final round just two back.
