Eric Cole fires 66 on a windy day at Abacoa Golf Club to win by one
Evan Russell and Sunny Kim lead Monday Qualifier Contest #1 with one event to go

JUPITER, Fla. - Eric Cole from Orlando, FL birdied the difficult par-4 18th hole to win by one on Tuesday at Abacoa Golf Club. He didn't make a bogey and added birdies at 1, 3, 6 and 10 earning $1,100 from the $8,590 purse. He also won $225 from the optional bonus pool for a total of $1,325.

Playing two groups ahead of Cole were Cole Thompson from Sebastian, FL and Mathieu Decottignies Lafon from Biarritz, France. They tied for 2nd at 4-under par 67 and earned $675 a piece. Lafon won an extra $200 from the bonus pool for a total of $875. Lafon is here while on break from competing on the Challenge Tour in Europe.

Today's event was the second of three one day events this week that make up 2019 Monday Qualifier Contest #1 presented by Abacoa Golf Club. The player with the lowest cumulative 3-day score from all three one day events this week will win a $1,000 bonus to go play in a Monday Qualifier on the PGA Tour or Web.com Tour.
