BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - Mason Lenhart from Prospect, KY started the final round 5 shots and 6 groups behind first round leader Evan Katz. But a final round 11-under par 61 would vault him to the top of the leaderboard by 2 shots. It also set the new course record for the East course at Indian Spring Country Club.
Lenhart's first win on the MLGT was worth $3,173 ($2,700 from the $19,350 purse plus $473 from the optional bonus pool).
Michael Kartrude played the last 5 holes 5-under par in round one and 4-under par in round 2 and would finish at 132 and solo 2nd earning $2,427.
First round leader Evan Katz added 69 to his first round 64 and tied for 3rd with Ryan Cole.
In a second day shootout Thursday among players who shot 70 or higher Wednesday, Brandon Berry won $150 with a final round score of 65.

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - Evan Katz from Washington, DC started out hot at 8-under par through 12 holes in the opening round on the East course at Indian Spring CC. He added a birdie and a bogey coming in to close with 64 and take a one shot lead into the final round.
Michael Kartrude was having a fairly normal round standing on the 15th tee at 2-under par. He would finish birdie, eagle, birdie, birdie for 65 and sits in solo 2nd.
39 of the 60 players would finish round one under par on a good day for scoring.

There is an optional $50 2nd day shootout for players at 70 and higher. 100% of the entry goes into the purse and the top 33% and ties will earn a check. If you'd like to participate you must sign up and pay online before the first tee time on Thursday.
