LAKE WORTH, Fla. - Tom Bevington from Manchester, England earned his first win on the MLGT in dramatic fashion Monday on the West course at Fountains CC. He and six other players tied in regulation at 1-under par 70 on a cool windy day that proved to be very tough for scoring.
The first playoff hole saw 6 pars and a bogey by Billy Stewart. The 2nd playoff hole (a 155 yard par-3 playing straight into a 20 mph wind) was the decider. Bevington missed the green pin high left and proceeded to chip in for birdie. Two more players had a chance to make their birdie putts to extend but barely missed leaving Bevington the champion and the $1,200 first place check.
Charlie Dubiel, Billy Stewart, Nicklas Staub, Brandon Berry, Mark Goetz and Max Ferrari all tied for 2nd earning $600 each. Berry and Goetz added $194.50 each from the bonus pool and Staub added a $300 skin.

2023 Qualifying School Contest #2 starts Wednesday at Banyan Creek Golf Club in Palm City where the winner will earn a $5k bonus to put towards the Q-School entry fee of their choice.
